Max's Response:

REPONSE ON RACE

After seeing the speech the Barack Obama gave on race, I was at first taken aback. For the simple reason that I realized tha5 I had just viewed not only one of the best speeches I had ever heard, but also because I new that what I was watching was going to be something that would be taught to thousands of people in the years to come, weather it be in text books or in the news. I also have to say that I agree with him on basically all of the things that he raised during the speech, mainly that the issue of race has been a key point in countless things throughout history, and that in this election it matters a lot as well. Also, this speech made me realize that although most of us today feel that race is an issue that was solved many years ago with the “Emancipation Proclamation” in the time of slavery (as I used to believe myself at a younger age), it is in fact still a very prevalent issue and topic that continues to affect us globally to this very day. Lastly I would just like to say that if this man becomes president, very good things will happen to this country and we will be able to rebuild America to its former Pre-war beauty.
